Lafayette Square is a quiet conservative corner in Savannah, Georgia, with stately townhouses and freestanding mansions surrounding it. Sandy enjoyed her childhood days in the "Hostess City of the South." Savannah's like a child's tea party. The unfolding pageantry of gigantic sprays of white, red and vermilion azaleas in full bloom and dogwood blossoms floating above the azaleas like millions of butterflies is creative inspiration for anyone. Sandy started painting at an early age, receiving awards and selling her paintings in local art shows. In 1973 she opened a gallery giving her work plenty of room to be viewed by all who passed through the lovely "Queen City." In 1974 she moved with her husband and small son to the Carolinas where she finds nature wild and awesome along the seashore and overgrown pastures of our southern landscape. Working several years as a successful freelance illustrator, Sandy has carried her talent into a card line which she has been retailing since 1989. She shares her love of nature through drawing classes with children. Her paintings can be viewed in her studio, galleries and private collections throughout the United States, Canada and Europe.
