A painter and poet born in Italy, Ivo David is the founder of the artistic movement "The Fusionism, '56" originated in  Europe. His first original Manifesto of Fusionisn, '56 and his book of poems Memories of an Artist are registered with the Library of Congress in Washington, DC. He received his first art lesson from his beloved father Arduino David who was an artist in Italy. In 1960 Ivo David had his first art exhibition at the Galleria del Ponte in Naples, Italy. Many other art shows followed in Europe and Italy. In 1964 his works were exhibited at the Crespi Art Gallery, New York City; Seton Hall University (CIC), NJ; Robert Treat Grand Salon, NJ; Salon of Modern Art, Paris; City Hall, Paris; Muse de D'Unet, France; Les Salon des Nations a Paris; Ramapo University, NJ; New York University, NY; Chateau Briand, NY; Las Malamut Art Gallery, NJ; Penn and Ink Gallery, NY, 2003, 2005, 2007 Biennale Internazionale dell'Arte Contemporanea Citta'di Firenze, Italy, 2007 A.E. Backus Museum, Florida; 2008 VBAC Vero Beach Museum of Art, Florida; sketch on canvas of A. Dante's Divine Comedy (Purg. Canto II,vv.44) as permanent collection at the Museo Dantesco "Fortunato Bellonzi" Casa di Dante in Abbruzzo, Pescara, Italy; and many others. David's artistic achievements are reported by numerous art organizations in Europe and the US. David is listed in many art reference books, artistic publications, art encyclopedias and a new book on David's art The Fusionism of Ivo David: A Search for Freedom in Art by O Tanelli (Il Ponte Edition, NY), just off the press. David is listed in Who's Who in American Art, L'Academie due Perigord, France; International Biographical Center, Cambridge, Eng; Encyclopedia of Living Artists, USA; Who's Who Among the Italian Americans, NIAF. His works are in many collections nationally and internationally.
